The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 14,000 times in 2013. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 5 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

2014

An impending new year gives rise to reflection and goal setting. What will your goals for 2014 be? It’s never to early to start thinking about self improvement!

Let’s be realistic- how many of us have really reached one of our new year resolutions?  Not many.  We set unrealistic goals and when obstacles get in our way of reaching those goals, we simply give up and push them off to next year’s new year resolution.  And I’ll be honest- I am one of these people.

This year, I am going to change it up and actually fulfill my resolution.  I will not go with the trend of having many resolutions and not fulfilling any of them completely.  Rather, I will have one goal and I will reach it.  I will spend 2014 fulfilling that resolution passionately and fully.  Now, what exactly is this goal?  To get fit.

That’s right.  Being fit is caring for your body, your health (physically and mentally), and those around you.  2013 was a rough year that impacted my well-being as a whole and I definitely do not wish to return to that point.  I am already starting to make changes and I already feel so much better.  I can’t imagine how I will feel a year from now if I keep it up.  Some of the stuff that I am doing include eating organic and working out on a regular basis.  Nothing too crazy, but surprisingly, eating healthier and exercise can do wonders.  I feel more focused, happy, and unstressed.

It’s all about finding what works.  So I hope to continue to get fit and put myself in a new position in life.  And do not get me wrong- I still face frustrations and obstacles, but I have learned to deal with these stresses.  When I need to clear my mind and relax, I gym it.  😀

Sooo… reflecting on the me in 2013, I am not so proud of myself.  But I am happy where I am going and hope that it keeps getting better.

Well, another decade has passed.  Today is the third day of 2011 and my post might be a little late for all the excitement.  But, I’d like to talk about 2011 because it is a big year for me.  For one, I am in the Class of 2011 and this coming fall, I will be starting college.

Though that is pretty exciting, let’s start from the beginning and work our way towards the fall.  So, I sent in my essay for the Japan Essay 2 days before the end of the old year.  I should expect some news as to whether or not I won anything in March or April.  I really hope I do win something (that $2000 first-place prize sounds sweet) because it would be nice to have something like that to contribute to my college fund.  My parents are complaining enough about sending me to San Diego.  There’s not only the tuition, which isn’t bad with my scholarship, but also plane tickets and products that I will have to buy in Cali.  So, I’m hoping my Japan essay will help my parents out a little bit.

Next up on my agenda is NSLI-Y.  I’m actually going to save my rant for the next post, so I’ll move on.

Fall of 2011, I will be beginning my freshman year at college.  As of right now, University of San Diego is looking pretty good as my college.  But I’ll have to call them and clarify some things before I make a decision.  O yea, and I’m going for the Honors Program at USD, I hope I get into that too.

Basically, I’m trying to say that 2011 is a huge year of changes for me.  I hope this year brings me much luck and fortune.  Opportunities are flying into my arms and I want to hold onto them and never let go.

Hopefully, I’ll be able to blog about my new experiences and adventures often… because 2011, here I come.  Here’s to a great year! -toast-

New Beginnings

Well, it is about 2 days away from 2010.  The time has come, once again, to start anew.  I haven’t been able to blog much lately (my apologies to you fans), but this new year, I promise to blog more often about a variety of topics.  Yep. That is my plan. 😀  Hopefully, my blog can begin to explore a wider horizon of… just stuff, you know, about life and all.

I have also been aware that my blog has been getting a little boring (yep. I know, and no need to lie about it to myself anymore).  But this has been so because I’ve been really busy and haven’t been able to take the time to sit down and think.  My life has been a rush and if you can take the time to read my blog, then I should certainly take the time to give you something that is well written.

But I also hope that those of you who do not blog know that blogging does take a lot of effort and time.  *gulp*  Sometimes blogging drives me nuts, especially during this period of my life where everything is going gaga.  I have a lot of pressure on my back right now, but maybe I can relieve some of that pressure by telling you my stories.  I promise that this blog will be more about me and my life, because I started diverging onto other topics on the way…

As for the year 2010, do expect stories on

1. School life

2. Social life

3. Family life

4. Philosophy

5. Entertainment (that is, my interests and hobbies)

One thing that most people look forward to is love life.  But that is something I probably won’t be able to give you, given my lack of one.  Yet, if things change, I’ll let you know.  After all, who knows what the new year will bring.

Finally, I wish you readers a great new year.  There is a lot waiting for you in 2010.  I hope you dream it, experience it, and remember it.
